Goodbye Mama Cat

The illustrations from the book 'Goodbye Mama Cat: Grief in Isolation', were initially created in a response to the sudden death of my mother, from Covid-19. During a time of pandemic, I was unable to meet with family and perform the usual grieving rituals, so the drawings became my means of honouring my mum's life. They also served to help me process some of the trauma associated with her death, offering a source of comfort and even company and bringing my mum close to me once more.
