Screen Printing is an approach that I really enjoy, because the result are always so vibrant and have a unique impact.

I am currently exploring the work of Andy Warhol and adopting his approach, I have produced a series of Pop Art portraits, as commissions.

​

These consist of a gestural, colourful layer, which is the mono screen print background. A stencil is then prepared, taken from a selceted photgraph and is screen printed ontop. The contrast between the more expressive colourful brushstrokes and the more meticulous stencil impression works effectively. I hope you will agree!
